Abstract
This is a pre-analysis plan for a modified conceptual replication study of an artefactual mail field experiment with all commercial German fishermen on how truth-telling, as measured by a standard coin-tossing task, depends on the salience of their ill-regarded regulator, the EU, that we ran in winter 2015/2016.

Interventions

Intervention(s)
This is an RCT with three treatments in which a coin toss reporting page features three different screen headers: (i) a baseline setting (‘Baseline’) in which only the logos of university institution 1 and institution 2 are present on the screen header, (ii) a version where the EU flag is made salient in the screen header (‘EU_Flag’), and (iii) a third treatment where the screen header features a box that states "This study is funded by public research funds." (‘Funding’). Further experimental details are available in the uploaded pre-analysis plan.
