Abstract
This is an online study on decision-making in economic relevant contexts. The purpose of this registration is to make available to subjects information related to the randomization procedures used during the experiment. Such information will be visible only after the collection of data. Specifically, it will be visible to everyone on Wednesday, May 8th, 2019.

Experimental Design

Experimental Design
As described in the abstract, this is a registration about an online experiment on decision-making in economic relevant contexts. The goal of this pre-registration is to make relevant information available to interested participants after all data has been collected.
Experimental Design Details
Randomization Method
Public lottery. Specifically, we used the Pick 2 game of the Pennsylvania Lottery. For more details refer to the section "Intervention", which will be made available after all data has been collected.
Randomization Unit
Individual
Was the treatment clustered?
No

Experiment Characteristics

Sample size: planned number of clusters
Based on previous literature, we are aiming to collect 90-110 responses in each of 6 treatment arms.
Sample size: planned number of observations
650 individuals, recruited via Amazon Mechanical Turk.
Sample size (or number of clusters) by treatment arms
90-110 subjects per treatment arm.
Minimum detectable effect size for main outcomes (accounting for sample design and clustering)
