Experimental Design

Experimental Design
Treatment assignment was carried out at the student level through a stratified lottery, using school, grade, and shift attended as strata. Half of the students in each cell were randomly assigned to the treatment group, and the other half to the control group. Impact estimated by comparing the treated and control students' reading proficiency after the intervention, controlling for the results measured before the intervention.
