Intervention (Hidden)
|
Before
The intervention is the transparency of the carbon-neutral label. A split-sample approach is used. The first subsample is shown a standard carbon-neutral label (without specifying the shares of CO₂ reduction and CO₂ offsetting), while the other two subsamples are shown the transparent version of the carbon-neutral label with information about the percentages of CO₂ offsetting and CO₂ reduction displayed on the label. Specifically, the label in second subsample indicates 100% CO₂ offsetting and 0% CO₂ reduction, and the label in third subsample indicates 50% CO₂ offsetting and 50% CO₂ reduction.

Specifically, the label in second subsample indicates 95% CO₂ offsetting and 5% CO₂ reduction, and the label in third subsample indicates 50% CO₂ offsetting and 50% CO₂ reduction.
