Experimental Design

Experimental Design
The purpose of this research is to measure the impact of vision correction on the productivity of harvest workers in the Guatemalan coffee sector. Productivity will be measured as the daily quantity of cherries picked during the harvest season. Secondary outcomes include measures of worker wellbeing, optimism and aspirations.

Experiment Characteristics

Sample size: planned number of clusters
Treatment is not clustered.
Sample size: planned number of observations
1000-2000
Sample size (or number of clusters) by treatment arms
Depends on the share of individuals who need corrective lenses (see pre-analysis plan for more details).
Minimum detectable effect size for main outcomes (accounting for sample design and clustering)
