Abstract
Young people actively consume information coming from various sources - from parents, from teachers, from friends, from social networks, from virtual game communities, and, of course, from the media. However, the question remains unanswered: whether high school students are ready to accept the news as a fact without doubt, or on the contrary, they think about the credibility of the source. Such knowledge and understanding are important both for professional producers of news (media) and when disseminating information in an informal communication environment.
In this scientific work, a study was conducted that allowed us to understand exactly how high school students receive information and are they ready to analyze the news they consume? Obviously, they rely on the news as a means of learning. As a result, we found out that the majority of high school students are ready to listen to separate trainings to improve media literacy and self-development.

Primary Outcomes

Primary Outcomes (end points)
Basic terms and concepts were studied; the sources of obtaining information from high school students were clarified (through questionnaires); developed and proposed to the administration of the "Dialog" gymnasium recommendations for increasing the level of media literacy among high school students (according to the results of the data obtained in the process of the questionnaire); a pilot training was conducted for high school students of the "Dialog" gymnasium on the need to critically perceive information coming from any source.

Experimental Design

Experimental Design
The purpose of the scientific work is to find out the main sources of obtaining information by high school students of the "Dialog" gymnasium and to study the level of trust in these sources in order to form further recommendations of the school administration regarding the conduct of individual classes on media literacy in grades 9-11 of the gymnasium.
Achieving the goal involves performing a number of procedures (tasks), namely:
• Learning basic terms and concepts;
• Studying the sources of obtaining information from high school students (through questionnaires);
• Development and offering of recommendations to the administration of the "Dialog" gymnasium to increase the level of media literacy among high school students (based on the results of the data obtained in the questionnaire survey);
• Conducting a pilot training for high school students of the "Dialog" gymnasium on the need to critically perceive information coming from any source.
