Intervention (Public)
|
Before
Rice is the single most important crop in Bangladesh. Hence the seasonality of rural areas is strongly connected to the country’s rice-growing cycles, namely Boro (January to April/May), Aus (May to July/August), and Aman (September to December). Of these, we target the Boro season as an intervention of our study as it is in dry season and many farmers use irrigation water for rice cultivation, which will be a better fit for SRI practices. The baseline data were collected after the Boro season in 2021, and the simple demonstration was conducted in the Boro season in 2022. Then, the intensive intervention/training (RCT) was implemented in the Boro season in 2023, followed by the endline survey in September-November in 2023.
