Abstract
The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations is developing more personalised support for people in Workforce Australia Online. This more personalised support is designed as a series of one-on-one appointments with a departmental Contact Centre Agent. If people decide to attend the appointments, they aim to help them:
• set their job goals and plan concrete actions to achieve them and/or
• receive support on a variety of topics like job application support, identifying education and training opportunities, support for foundational skills and so on.
The appointments are designed to help people in Workforce Australia Online identify and access resources that will help them progress towards their job goals. Appointments are also aimed at building peoples’ skills, confidence and capacity to sustain skills acquisition and motivation during their job-seeking journey.
