This study intends to explore strategies that can encourage potential program beneficiaries (middle school students in less developed areas) to sign in a mentoring program, which organizes college students from elite universities to provide online mentoring service without charge.

All the interventions intend to encourage middle school students to actively sign up for an online mentoring program, which is offered free of charge. Interventions include the following potential strategies.
1. Reference price: emphasize the otherwise market value of mentoring
2. Scarcity appeal: emphasize the limited opportunity for participation
3. Impact summary: provide summerized message on program evaluation of earlier implementation
4. Participant comments: provide comments from participating the program, possibly with/without participants' photo.
