Experimental Design (Public) Students will be randomly assigned to one of three treatment arms. Specifically, one-third of the participants will receive the self-esteem boost, one-third will be given the option to set deadlines, and one-third will use the standard version of the learning platform. Randomization will be conducted at the group level, using the groups to which students are assigned during the mandatory orientation week. In particular, I will conduct a paired randomization, where groups will be first paired in terms of covariate values, and then within each pair a group will be chosen at random to receive one of the two treatments, and the other group will be assigned to the control group.
