Abstract
We study conformism. More specifically, we explore whether different gender groups exhibit conformist behavior when presented with exogenously controlled information about their peers’ actions in a set of games. Our experiment will test the effect of variation in social information about peer groups.

Experimental Design

Experimental Design
We will conduct a randomized experiment using subjects from villages in India.
Subjects will be shown different information about peer behavior.
This research is expected to shed light on gender-specific patterns of conformity.

Was the treatment clustered?
No

Experiment Characteristics

Sample size: planned number of clusters
900 individuals
Sample size: planned number of observations
900 individuals
Sample size (or number of clusters) by treatment arms
The sample will be split approximately equally across treatments.
Minimum detectable effect size for main outcomes (accounting for sample design and clustering)
