Abstract
We conduct an experiment around Delhi's 2025 elections to evaluate whether polls can reduce coordination failure in multi-candidate elections. We survey voters to assess preferences, rankings, second-order beliefs, and vote intentions, then randomly disseminate poll results to selected individuals. We test whether polls affect ratings, rankings and vote preferences. Moreover, we specifically test for heterogeneity and assess whether effects are driven by voters who were unsure or supporting minor parties at baseline.
