Intervention (Hidden) A software/mobile developer job is posted by a company on LinkedIn. A link is included (in the job post) through which individuals can apply for the job. When applicants click on the link, they will be taken to a form where they will first be asked for their contact information. Following this they will be randomly shown one of two different job-selection processes. After seeing the selection process, applicants will have the option to complete their application by uploading their resume. The treatment group sees this selection process: APPLICATION Submit your application -> CODING TEST ~1hour, asynchronous, no AI tools (recorded & screen tracked) -> INTERVIEW ~1hour, via Zoom (recorded) -> DECISION If successful, receive a job offer Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a coding test. Based on performance, candidates will be invited for an interview. Our hiring decisions are made entirely on merit.
