Experimental Design

We randomly assigned participants to either a control group or one of six treatment groups, resulting in seven groups in total.
Experimental Design Details
We randomly assigned participants to either a control group or one of six treatment groups, resulting in seven groups in total. The control group received no information. The treatment groups were provided with different types of information as follows: (1) historical returns of Bitcoin prices; (2) historical volatility of Bitcoin prices; (3) both historical returns and volatility of Bitcoin prices; (4) historical returns of a stock index; (5) historical volatility of a stock index; and (6) both historical returns and volatility of a stock index.
Randomization Method
Stratified randomization by a survey company. The strata are based on sex (male/female) and age (20-29/30-39/40-49/50-59/60-79).
