Abstract
Through the lens of an interdisciplinary approach -embracing quantitative gender economics, innovation research and gender studies- interactive theater activities are planned
with the aim to elicit biases and obstacles to inclusion and diversity in academia, as well as to raise awareness. Building on these interactive theater experiences, a short online experimental survey will be designed, and implemented, to explore attitudes and opinions about gender inclusion in academia.

Interventions

Intervention(s)
Through the lens of an interdisciplinary approach -embracing quantitative gender economics, innovation research and gender studies- interactive theater activities are planned. The aim of these interactive participatory theater activities is to elicit biases and obstacles to inclusion and diversity in academia, as well as to raise awareness. Building on these theater experiences, a short online survey will be designed and implemented. .

Primary Outcomes

Primary Outcomes (end points)
Survey answers about participants' attitudes and opinions. Likert scales may be used to frame the relative questions in the online survey.

Experimental Design

Experimental Design
We plan to run an experimental journey on gender inclusion in academia, drawing both on interactive theater performances, and an online survey. The aim is to raise awareness on gender inclusion challenges and find solutions.

Randomization Method
The randomization will be done by the computer procedure.
Randomization Unit
Randomization units are the individual who will take the online survey.
Was the treatment clustered?
No

Experiment Characteristics

Sample size: planned number of clusters
We expect to approach people from different institutions mostly in Europe, and mostly academic, including faculty, students, and possibly also administrators; as well as experts from the government and other research institutions.
Sample size: planned number of observations
1000 to 5,000 people to answer the survey.
Sample size (or number of clusters) by treatment arms
1000 to 5,000 people.
Minimum detectable effect size for main outcomes (accounting for sample design and clustering)
We will use statistical tools, regressions, and use standard significance levels.
