Abstract
This study evaluates whether personalized feedback and targeted information about transfer-related resources can support four-year college enrollment intentions and related preparation among Arizona Western College students. Students will be invited to complete a transfer survey about their academic background, transfer plans, perceived barriers, financial aid knowledge, and support needs. Based on the study design, students may receive personalized feedback and information about relevant resources, including free fall workshops and support sessions on topics such as FAFSA, scholarships, budgeting, building credit, and financial literacy. Students may also RSVP for events and complete brief post-event surveys. The study is intended to improve understanding of AWC students’ transfer-related needs and test whether providing personalized guidance and resource information increases engagement with transfer-support resources and four-year college enrollment preparation.

Primary Outcomes

Primary Outcomes (end points)
Outcomes include intermediate measures of transfer preparation and engagement with support resources, such as RSVP to fall sessions/workshops, attendance at transfer- or financial-literacy-related events, completion of post-event evaluation surveys, and self-reported transfer intentions or preparation. Additional survey-based outcomes include students’ clarity about the transfer process, awareness of financial aid and scholarship opportunities, academic preparedness, support and transition readiness, perceived external barriers, and academic/career uncertainty.

We will also look at four-year college application and enrollment behavior following the intervention. Where available, these outcomes will be measured using Arizona Western College administrative records, including verified transfer application or enrollment indicators. If administrative records are not available for all students, survey-based measures of transfer application, enrollment, or transfer progress may be used as supplemental measures.

Experimental Design

Experimental Design
The study will invite Arizona Western College students to complete a transfer-focused survey. The survey collects information on students’ transfer intentions, academic preparation, financial considerations, information access, support needs, and perceived barriers. Students will be randomly assigned to receive different versions of follow-up information or feedback. The intervention provides personalized transfer-related feedback and/or information about relevant support resources, including fall sessions and workshops offered by AWC and its partners. The study will compare outcomes such as engagement with resources, RSVP/attendance behavior, post-event survey completion, and transfer-related preparation measures across study groups. This intervention extends a prior intervention with the same student population, but this time includes information events and post-event surveys.
