Primary Outcomes

Primary Outcomes (end points)
In the currently registered PAP, we are registering our plan for a first stage of analysis, in which we have one primary outcome:
Trainee's knowledge test score post training
Primary Outcomes (explanation)

Secondary Outcomes

Secondary Outcomes (end points)
In the currently registered PAP, we are registering our plan for a first stage of analysis, in which we have two secondary outcomes:

Opinion of trainer knowledge, as measured in a telephone follow-up survey.
Opinion of whether the trainer interprets the law correctly, as measured in a telephone follow-up survey.
Secondary Outcomes (explanation)

Experimental Design

Experimental Design
The design is a randomized rollout of training sessions. Randomization was conducted at the level of the Union Council (a small geographic unit).
Experimental Design Details
Randomization Method
Randmization in Stata
Randomization Unit
Union Council (geographic unit)
Was the treatment clustered?
Yes

Experiment Characteristics

Sample size: planned number of clusters
Full randomization (Lahore district): 270 clusters

Order randomization (selected districts in rest of province): TBD pending negotiation of randomized order rollout plan with administrators for each district
Sample size: planned number of observations
Full randomization (Lahore district): approximately 1000 marriage registrars Order randomization (selected districts in rest of province): TBD pending negotiation of randomized order rollout plan with administrators for each district
Sample size (or number of clusters) by treatment arms
Full randomization (Lahore district): 200 treatment, 70 control

Order randomization (selected districts in rest of province): N/A (all units will be treated, order of rollout randomized)
Minimum detectable effect size for main outcomes (accounting for sample design and clustering)
