Interventions

Intervention(s)
In three treatment arms and one control group, a number of incentive mechanisms are randomly assigned to different subjects.

Experimental Design

Experimental Design
Between subjects design.
Experimental Design Details
The experiment consists of six steps, three of which administrative or procedural (the random allocation assignment of an economic incentive mechanism). The actual laboratory study consists of three steps, (1) the filling in of standardized questionnaires and behavioral economic games, (2) an incentivized real-effort task and (3) the completion of a final questionnaire.
Randomization Method
Treatments randomized by laboratory computer software.
Randomization Unit
Individual
Was the treatment clustered?
No

Sample size (or number of clusters) by treatment arms
Total of 100 experimental subjects per treatment arm (combining both experimental and pilot subjects).
