Trial Title Sexual Activity & Performance Sexual Activity & Productivity
Abstract We study the causal link between sexual activity and performance. Our experimental approach induces arousal in subjects’ partners by exposing them to a video with explicit sexual content. Then, we use partners’ arousal as an instrument for subjects’ sexual activity to estimate (via an instrumental variables approach) the causal impact of sexual activity on individual performance. We also explore the causal link between sexual activity and happiness. We study the causal link between sexual activity and productivity. Intervention (Public) We examine the causal impact of sexual activity on subsequent individual performance We examine the causal impact of sexual activity on subsequent individual productivity
Primary Outcomes (End Points) Performance. Measured as performance in an arithmetic task Productivity. Measured as performance in an arithmetic task
Experimental Design (Public) Randomized Controlled Trial: Treatment participants will be randomly selected from a list of eligible subjects. We will compare the treatment group outcomes to the control group outcomes, looking specifically at subjects’ individual performance.
