Abstract Abstract Background and objective: MS is significantly associated with psychological, behavioral, cognitive, and emotional sequelae. The objective of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of Transdiagnostic Group Therapy on emotion regulation in Women with Multiple Sclerosis. Methodology: The study was a Single-Blind, Randomized Controlled Trial with three months follow up comparing psychological intervention group, based on Transdiagnostic therapy principles, with a waiting list control group with pretest-posttest design with a control group and a follow-up stage. The research population included all women suffering from MS disease in Tehran. The subjects consisted of 64 patients (32 in the experimental group and 32 in the control group) who were selected by a purposeful sampling method and randomly assigned (32 in the experimental group and 32 in the control group). The experimental group underwent Transdiagnostic group-based therapy for fourteen consecutive 120-minute sessions, while the control group did not receive any intervention. The dyadic adjustment scale (DAS) was used to collect data. Data were analyzed using Spss version 25.0 and covariance analysis method. Results: The results revealed a significant difference between the mean of the experimental group and that of the control group in the pre-test, post-test and follow-up stages (p=0.01<0.05) indicating the effectiveness of group-based hope therapy on marital adjustment in women with MS. Conclusion: The results showed that Transdiagnostic Group Therapy improved emotion regulation and reduced difficulties in emotion regulation in women with MS. Abstract MS is significantly associated with psychological, behavioral, cognitive, and emotional CONSEQUENCES. The objective of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of Transdiagnostic Group Therapy on Women with Multiple Sclerosis.
