Abstract
We measure the short- and long-term effects of an informational campaign on the de- mand for climate-friendly durable goods through an online field experiment in China. We provide consumers with information on the monetary and climate benefits of low-carbon lightbulbs, and observe their subsequent purchasing decisions for a month.
