The structure of our experiment produces 2 x 5^2 x 5^2 = 50 different triplets with efficiency information only expressed in terms of transplant, and as many triplets with added information on dollar savings, with three of which being assigned to each subject.With 3,000 subjects in total, and each individual having a chance of being assigned one particular triplet of about 3%, we expected about 90 observations on each of the 100 triplets. We also added one case (approximately 100 observations) where the subject is asked to choose one of the three systems with no information provided on the number of kidneys procured.

STUDY 1

STUDY 2
With 2,700 subjects and 16 experimental conditions, we expect to have about 168 subjects in each condition.
