Abstract
In this research, we study causal impacts of interventions which will provide information on oral health, especially how to prevent periodontal disease. By conducting online surveys and providing information on prevention and treatment of periodontal disease to randomly selected individuals, we aim to study whether and how people change their perception/behavior on oral health.

Interventions

Intervention(s)
This project will randomly provide information on how to prevent periodontal disease to 900 individuals in Japan. Our subjects are clients of a major online survey company. We will randomly assign each subject to one of the two groups and give information via online.

Primary Outcomes

Primary Outcomes (end points)
The primary outcomes include perceptions and behavioral changes against periodontal disease. These outcomes are measured by comparing the baseline and endline surveys across groups.

Experimental Design

Experimental Design
We conduct a survey asking for their perception and behavior about oral health. The survey includes quiz on periodontal disease and its prevention. Subjects in treatment group will receive information on quiz answers and the number of correct answers along with the baseline survey. Subjects in control group will be asked to answer the baseline survey, which does not include quiz answers nor the number of correct answers.
