Abstract
Domestic abuse (DA) is a widespread problem worldwide. We are working with an English police force on an RCT designed to reduce DA recidivism. The intervention is based on a provision of English law that enables police to disclose to a DA victim information about her partner’s prior DA history.

Interventions

Intervention(s)
English law provides police with the opportunity to disclose to DA victims information about the perpetrator’s DA history. For the intervention, cases are first screened automatically using a bot that assesses eligibility for the intervention. Cases that are selected by the bot are passed to a police officer who further scrutinizes details of the case. Cases that are pass both phases of review are then randomized to treatment or control status. Victims in treatment cases will receive the disclosure; victims in control cases will not.

Primary Outcomes

Primary Outcomes (end points)
The key outcomes for the study will be measures of repeat calls for DA, DA calls classified as crimes, DA calls involving stalking, and DA calls involving violence. We will also analyze questions from the DASH/DOM5 form that is administered at each call.
