Experimental Design Details
Randomization Method
Individuals will be grouped a'la the minimum group design into two colors (yellow and blue). Same-color individuals will be grouped. This group assignment will be done randomly via a computer. Half of the yellow groups will be randomly assigned to one treatment arm and half of them to another one. Blues are not assigned to any further treatment arms. The description and the details of yellow group members' two different treatment arms are not public until after the experiments are completed (they are detailed in the confidential attachment describing all study -details).
In another study variation, grouping is based on subjects' real-life immigration backgrounds; endogenous sorting. There will be a group of natives and a group of immigrants.
