Experimental Design

Experimental Design
Subjects make repeated choices between lotteries. For details, see "design_pap_exp.pdf".
Experimental Design Details
Randomization Method
Computer.
Randomization Unit
Participants are randomly assigned to one of two treatments.75 participants are assigned to treatment 1 and the remaining 225 participants are randomly assigned to one of three parameter sets of lottery choices for treatment 2. There is no treatment/control group in the classical sense. Rather, participants make decisions in two different settings. We study decisions in these different environments.
Was the treatment clustered?
No

Experiment Characteristics

Sample size: planned number of clusters
300 participants.
Sample size: planned number of observations
300 participants.
Sample size (or number of clusters) by treatment arms
75 participants in each of four treatments.
Minimum detectable effect size for main outcomes (accounting for sample design and clustering)
