Abstract
This study elicits consumers' WTP for microalgae-based food products. The elicitation format varies between subjects whether WTP is elicited via the BDM mechanism or Discrete choice (Yes/No) questions. No incentives are provided and subjects are aware that elicitation is hypothetical. We also vary between-subjects the type of food product (milk vs. beer).

Interventions

Intervention(s)
This study elicits consumers' WTP for microalgae-based food products. The elicitation format varies between subjects whether WTP is elicited via the BDM mechanism or Discrete choice (Yes/No) questions. No incentives are provided and subjects are aware that elicitation is hypothetical. We also vary between-subjects the type of food product (milk vs. beer).

Subjects will be recruited via a mix of methods. On the one hand, invitations will be sent to a sample of subjects from the general population that have participated in lab experiments in the past. In addition, the study will be advertised through social media accounts. The survey is administered online via Qualtrics.
