Experimental Details

Interventions

Intervention(s)
We randomize the provision of information and then elicit employee beliefs and preferences about mandatory arbitration.
Intervention (Hidden)
Respondents will be randomized at the outset of the survey into a Control group or one of two Treatment groups. The treatment groups provide more information about mandatory arbitration, after which we will ask respondents a series of questions. More detail is provided in the analysis plan.

Experimental Design

Experimental Design
We will use standard techniques and methods to elicit employee beliefs and preferences about contracts with mandatory arbitration.
Experimental Design Details
After respondents are randomized into the treatment arms, we use an iterative multiple price list strategy to elicit willingness to pay for contracts without mandatory arbitration. Respondents will be asked to choose between a contract with mandatory arbitration and a contract without mandatory arbitration at different price points. More detail is provided in the analysis plan.
Randomization Method
Randomization done by computer
Randomization Unit
Individual level randomization
