Abstract
We study choices about pie sharing in dyadic interaction with varying responder veto power. We consider a condition with fixed pie size (baseline) and two conditions with endogenously determined pie size (high and low efficiency loss conditions). We analyse baseline and efficiency loss conditions within subjects. We vary the order of conditions and the extent of the efficiency loss between subjects. We use the strategy vector method to elicit subjects' choices.

Experimental Design

Experimental Design
We consider a condition with fixed pie size (baseline) and two conditions with endogenously determined pie size (high and low efficiency loss conditions). We use the strategy vector method to elicit subjects' choices. Subjects choose the percentage share of the pie size for themselves in both roles of the dyadic interaction.

Randomization Method
Randomisation by computer. At the end of each session, participants are randomly matched in couples and randomly assigned to one role for final payment.
Randomization Unit
After making their choices via the strategy method for both roles of the dyadic interaction, at the end of the session each participant is randomly matched with another one and randomly assigned to one role. Then, one phase is randomly selected for payment.
Was the treatment clustered?
No

Experiment Characteristics

Sample size: planned number of clusters
1 pool of subjects registered for experiments via Orsee, from Luiss faculty of Economics, Law, and Political Science
Sample size: planned number of observations
200 students (expected)
Sample size (or number of clusters) by treatment arms
30 students per session (expected), i.e. 60 students per treatment.
Minimum detectable effect size for main outcomes (accounting for sample design and clustering)
