Abstract
This study evaluates the effectiveness of a holistic youth development program in Honduras using the POZE framework (Perspective - Optimization - Zeniths - Exposure). Unlike traditional interventions that address isolated aspects of well-being, POZE integrates personal growth with social engagement to foster resilience and leadership.

A randomized controlled trial (RCT) will assess the impact of training youth managers, educators, and community leaders in the POZE methodology. The intervention includes structured training, peer support systems, and AI-driven digital monitoring tools, with outcome measures capturing changes in self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and social trust.

Primary outcomes include improved self-awareness, leadership skills, and community engagement. Secondary outcomes assess employability and the formation of a scalable POZE practitioner network. This study aims to generate evidence on the effectiveness of holistic, data-driven approaches to youth empowerment in low-resource settings.

Experimental Design

Experimental Design
A randomized controlled trial (RCT) will assess the impact of training youth managers, educators, and community leaders in the POZE methodology. The intervention includes structured training, peer support systems, and AI-driven digital monitoring tools, with outcome measures capturing changes in self-efficacy, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and social trust.
Experimental Design Details
Participants will engage in personal journaling, buddy systems, and WhatsApp-based Ecological Momentary Assessments (EMA) to track engagement and well-being shifts over six months.
Randomization Method
randomization done in office by a computer. From a pool of applicants to be monitors-instructors of the POZE intervention we randomly select 25 monitors-instructors.
Randomization Unit
The unit of randomization are individuals who apply to be monitors-instructors of an intervention to improve the expectation of youth lives.
Was the treatment clustered?
Yes

Experiment Characteristics

Sample size: planned number of clusters
50 individuals
Sample size: planned number of observations
1300 youth (25 per each of the 50 instructors)
Sample size (or number of clusters) by treatment arms
25 trainers are active control and 25 are treated with the additional intervention.
The individuals affected by these trainers are around 1300.
Minimum detectable effect size for main outcomes (accounting for sample design and clustering)
The MDE for the main outcome is 0.3 std. deviation
