Experimental Design

Experimental Design
Individuals are randomly referred to the program and offered the program's services.
Experimental Design Details
The local Corrections office sends us a list each quarter of individuals who are eligible for the program's services (they have 6-9 months left on their sentence, they are Indigenous, and they are not from a postcode that is outside the catchment area of the program). We create matched pairs and instruct Corrections about which individuals are in the treatment group. Corrections passes this information to the program manager.
Randomization Method
Randomization done in office by a computer. We use non-bipartite matching to create matched pairs.
Randomization Unit
Individual
Was the treatment clustered?
No
