Abstract
We study how identity salience affects preferences. In an online survey with approximately 2,000 respondents, we randomly assign participants to watch one of two short videos before completing incentivised economic tasks. After the video, respondents complete three tasks.

A treatment video primes national identity while a control video covers a neutral topic. After the video, respondents complete three tasks.

Experimental Design

Experimental Design
This is an online survey of approximately 2,000 respondents in Ukraine, stratified into six cells. Within the survey, each respondent is individually randomised into one of two video groups. After watching the video, all respondents answer identity questions and complete three incentivised economic tasks. Full details of the estimation strategy are set out in the pre-analysis plan.
