Abstract

We conduct a field experiment with organizations to identify the factors affecting prosocial behaviour and corporate culture. Overall, we find evidence in support of social learning within organizations. Further support for the validity of our experiment comes from actual of organization performances we obser one and two years after the experiment.

G0: Control group
G1: Leaders initiate the prosocial behaviour
G2: Leaders are assigned to undertake behavior of their choice
G4: Leaders are assigned to a random organization.
