Abstract
Exemplified by the passing of the recent Proposition 12, there is a growing concern among consumers about the welfare of farm animals and the need to address the ethical and moral implications of factory farming practices is gaining momentum. However, clear and concise information about the issue is not readily available to the public. To fill this gap, consumer advocate groups and animal right activists distribute informational pamphlets in public spaces to create awareness and urge individuals to take personal actions to help promote animal welfare. As such, this project aims to assess the effect of these informational pamphlets about welfare of farm animals on food choices of participants.
